It' s fine today. は通じない！？

「おはようございます。よい天気ですね！」
日本では挨拶に、天気の話題をよく取り入れますが、アメリカではあまり一般的ではありません。

"Good morning! It's fine today."
と話しかけても、多くのアメリカ人は何が fine なのか瞬時に理解できません。
軽い挨拶をしたい場合には
"Good morning! How are you doing?"
が自然です。

また天気の話題を取り入れたいのなら
"Good morning! It's a beautiful day, isn't it?"
くらいがよいでしょう。
