数えられる名詞、数えられない名詞

可算名詞と不可算名詞


英語には数えられる名詞（可算名詞）と数えられない名詞（不可算名詞）があり、量の表し方が違ってきます。

それぞれの違いを比べながら覚えましょう。

＊ egg は数えられます。cheese は数えられません。

□　There are eggs.　
□　There is cheese.

□　How many eggs do you have?
□　How much cheese do you have?

□　I don’t have many eggs, just a few.
□　I don’t have much cheese, just a little.
