□ ad-hoc　　臨時の、その場その場の
ex) The mayor appointed an ad hoc committee to study the project.
市長はプロジェクト調査のために臨時委員会を設定した
ad-hoc: formed or used for a special purpose
ex) We'll hire more staff on an ad hoc basis.

□ on a temporary basis　　臨時に
ex) He worked at the company on a temporary basis, leaving 2 months later.

temporary: continuing for a limited amount of time : not permanent
